changes to PPM qualifiers?
« on: August 28, 2015, 09:23:56 AM »
I was just sharing the qualifying requirements with someone thinking about PPA/PPM and I noticed what I think is a change compared to the past.

I seem to remember that to qualify for the PPM using the PPA you needed to post it sub-6hrs.  Not finding that now.  Did I imagine it?

As a slow guy, I've been shooting for the under 6hr mark to get qualified.  Sounds like I may get myself in trouble come March now.  ;)

Since the PPM cutoff at the summit is 6:30, having a 6:00 qualifier from the PPA was a bit out of sync. It was changed either last year or this past year.

It (6hr qualifier) has probably kept me out of trouble, John.  We'll see it if stays that way... Just needing to be a qualifying PPA veteran certainly makes the accounting and communication simpler.  I'd better start training...

Thanks for confirming my memory wasn't shot, at least.
