Overhead Obstacles

Can the overhead obstacles be marked or removed if they are less than 7 or 8 feet?

Last year on the descent I nearly got scalped  by a overhanging log just above the last aid station below the tree line. Genuine gash on the very top of my skull 
Im not saying its all that important, but all my focus was on the rocks on the ground  and the result could have been alot worse.

Though later on I did end up running into a tree too but that was definitely my fault (drunk on oxygen I think).

I feel your pain. At 6'4", I tend to hit a lot of things with my head. It also does not help that when I fall, I have a long way to go. :-)

Yeah, I think it would be great if the course was flat and paved too... Not trying to be a smart ass, but it is what it is. America's Ultimate Challenge! Luv it!
