qualifying for registration

I plan to register for the 2019 ascent. Would I be safe to wait until spring of 2019 to run my qualifying half marathon in order to register? Will the race fill before that time?

I would get it asap.  This year the ascent did not fill that fast.  But in past years it has filled in weeks or days.

I think with such a large-scale running competition, it will be easy for you to register in the coming years words from letters
