In-race tracking by family?
« on: July 27, 2016, 12:46:23 PM »
Hi everyone, Are the split times at No Name, Barr Camp and A-Frame updated in real-time anywhere for family or friends to track?

As in the past, we hope that the network connectivity from the split locations and the summit are stable enough to allow us to provide (almost) real time tracking data as runners cross the various timing locations.

The link to the live results will be posted on the results page the day of the race.

Unlike a normal race that is saturated in 4G coverage by a half dozen wireless companies, we get our internet on the summit via a 10 mile long point to point wireless shot. Cell coverage on the summit is too weak to be of any use for uploading the results. If it is too windy or there is too much moisture in the air, the signal will often drop out unexpectedly.
